ERTA Mission

The Eastern Rural Telecom Association (ERTA) is comprised of a united group of rural telephone companies operating in the Eastern United States as well as businesses that provide services or products to the member telephone companies.13541613_sERTA advocates for members on federal issues that have an impact on the deployment of broadband and advanced telecommunications services to customers in rural America at affordable rates.

ERTA provides member companies another voice at the FCC, RUS, and Congress to discuss importance of providing services in rural areas as well as the financial and geographical challenges. ERTA membership provides a unique position for members to participate in collaborative legislative and regulatory activities and dialogue issues concerning telecommunications services.

ERTA membership also provides opportunities to promote and strengthen the relationship between members and financial/lending institutions, including governmental agencies; complement and work with state, regional and national organizations; and to support members through education and networking activities.

ERTA Member Issues Forum Monthly Conference Call is held the third Monday at 2 PM Eastern.
